About Bassist
In response to the ever changing world that we live in, Jordyn’s mission to deliver the funk to the people prevails. In the heart of Los Angeles, for the past two years she has curated a strong network and name for herself within the industry. From Seven Grand to Melrose Studios to college frat parties, Jordyn can be seen laying down grooves anywhere in the city. Originally attending classical competitions and showcases as a pianist, she soon found that her drive as a musician was found elsewhere. Over the years she has been influenced and studied the melodic approaches of many bassists such as Charles Mingus, John Entwistle, Thundercat, Esperanza Spalding, Nathan Watts, and James Jamerson. Currently studying at the University of Southern California in Popular Music Performance and Music Industry, Jordyn continues to be a well-rounded musician that has dedicated an ongoing thirteen years to her craft.
Jordyn has played for an array of artists: The War and Treaty, Amber Riley, Mickey Guyton, Ledisi, Lucie Silvas, Jacob Luttrell, Steven Van Zandt, Dave Yaden, Raine Stern, Linsey Urrie, Eddie Brigati, Johnny Farina, Lou Pallo, DJ Charan Andreas, Printz Board and Johnny Nasty Boots. Additionally during her time off stage she can be seen in the studio songwriting or tracking parts for producers. Being a consistent bassist at the Houston Brother’s owned Black Rabbit Rose, she caught the attention of many successful musicians; With most notably Anderson. Paak, praising her as “A musician who’s well-beyond her years”. Her strength in electric, upright, synth bass (keys), and vocals, continues to put her in the forefront of up and coming musicians in Los Angeles.
