Bio

Joan has over 25 years experience in the fashion and hospitality industries, and is the Founder of Blak Chik Co-Op, the Los Angeles based parent company to ROCK RE⚡️DO Remastered Threads. Joan creates one-of-a-kind & limited issue pieces for those who choose to stand apart! Her work includes re-designed apparel, accessories and custom leather adornments for industry professionals and small specialty retailers. Joan's creations have been rocked on red carpets, including artists/celebrities P!NK, Monica, rock royalty Frankie Clarke, and 80s video vixen Lori Tucker, and she has customized pieces for charity auctions including St Jude's Children's' Hospital. Her designs have appeared in publications including Maxim, Blender, Instyle and Seventeen Magazine.

    Joan makes the best merch displays! She has an exceptional eye for visual layouts, and goes above and beyond- even brings candy to bring customers to the table! She has tons of supplies, tables and tablecloths of all shapes and sizes, and even helped us stock our own "event supply kit" with scissors, zipties etc to be prepared. On top of it she creates awesome social media stories, and is a pro and setup-breakdown. A pleasure to work with, highly recommend!
