About Singer- Powerhouse Vocals with Rasp
I am a versatile singer...or as I like to say "polyjamorous". I have been performing for over a decade and in September 2023, started my own band - A.F.R.O.B.A.M. - A Few Rockin' Out Bad Ass Musicians. While we perform covers with our own twist, we also perform orginials, written and arranged by me.
From working with so many different musicians, I have grasped the concept of collaborative music and can command a stage or fill in the background.
I have powerhouse raspy vocals, with an urban twang. I can perform with a given band or provide musicians. Oh and I am super cool!

The DC native has encompassed the different musical sounds of the city. From being influenced by Hip-Hop, Soul, Gospel, Rock, West African, Funk and of course the music of DC, Go-Go, Z has an alternative sound that can span across different genres. With her vast musical capacity, thirst for the energy of live music and years of band experience, she decided to test her limits and create A.F.R.O.B.A.M. in September 2023.
