Bio
Born in Hyderabad, India, PEEKAY is a modern metal project that turns lived experience into loud, unapologetic art. Founded by vocalist-songwriter Pranati Khanna and guitarist-producer Jonathan “Eddy,” the band exists to give a voice to the stories that are too often silenced—domestic violence, depression, injustice, impossible expectations placed on women, and the courage it takes to break free from them.
Shaped by Pranati’s journey across India and Los Angeles, PEEKAY explores what it means to hold onto faith while questioning the world around you, to cross continents without losing your identity, and to embrace the beautiful mess of being “cast in chaos.” Blending cinematic melodies, crushing riffs, and visceral emotion, the project refuses to fit neatly into a box.
PEEKAY has represented India at Music Matters Singapore, shared stages with Avenged Sevenfold and Jinjer, and continues to build a global audience through music that is as vulnerable as it is heavy. With Rex on bass and Clinton on drums, the band’s second EP, Cast in Chaos, releases on June 26—its heaviest, most personal, and most fearless work to date.
