Bio
Ashlee Sanchez, grew up in the diverse neighborhood of Manchester, CT. Being surrounded by peers of different cultural backgrounds, it opened her mind and ears to different cultural rhythms. It is these cultural rhythms that inspires her to challenge conventional ways of playing. Ashlee studied at Berklee School of Music with a BA degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Music Business, Music Production, and Drum Set. She’s studied Latin Jazz with Ed Fast at Uhartt, Cuban Drum set with Mark Walker at Berklee, and has performed with various bands live and in the studio.
Ashlee began playing drum set and percussion since the age of 3 with over 20 years of experince. She has been part of women empowerment movements and conferences being an advocate, proud to represent women in the music industry, sharing the holistic experience of connecting with the soul through rhythm. Playing drums has been a major part of her transformative experience, which is an experience she hopes to share with others through drumming.
