Livia
Bio
Olá! I'm Livia Perini Borjaille, a senior producer/post production, director and cinematographer originally from Brazil, now based in Brooklyn. My work is driven by a unique perspective and a passion for storytelling that brings fresh, diverse ideas to every project.
I've had the privilege of collaborating with major brands such as Disney, Lego, Microsoft, Visa, and Google, helping to humanize their brands through authentic narratives. I approach each project with a commitment to understanding my clients’ needs, working closely with them to develop and bring to life the best ideas. While I’m adept at managing all aspects of production on my own, I find great joy in working with diverse, collaborative crews. Together, we capture the true essence and intimacy of our subjects and projects.
My journey in filmmaking has a special connection to beauty, food content and storytelling, as it was a food/lifestyle-related project that brought me to New York City. For eight years, I directed and filmed a lifestyle/cooking show that aired daily on prime time in Brazil, on the major Latin American network, Globo. Working alongside the incredibly talented Chef and Host, Raiza Costa, was an inspiring experience that I hold dear.
Beyond my commercial work, I am deeply invested in personal projects that focus on social and humanitarian issues, which is where my true passion lies. I have extensive experience conducting sensitive interviews with vulnerable people, ensuring they feel comfortable and truly seen. Currently, I’m producing a feature documentary about the experiences of women in positions of power in Brazil. This project has been a profound journey, supported by institutions such as the Sundance Film Institute and Women Make Movies.
