Shama Zehra is the Co-founder & CEO of JETZY which is the world’s first social platform to connect and reward people with passion for travel, adventure and unique lifestyle experiences. Jetzy has a reach of more than 8 million people monthly across platform. And Jetzy app has been used in 170+ countries, 4000+ cities. On Jetzy app users can connect with other people by their location and interests, and get authentic recommendations, find travel & activity partners or simply make new friends all over the world. In addition users can get JetPoints for exciting rewards by simply referring friends to Jetzy, posting recommendations and communicating on the app.
Shama is a serial entrepreneur and has built several successful businesses in technology, financial services and fashion space. Shama began her career as one of the youngest female entrepreneurs in Pakistan when she started a women apparel firm with her mother and sister right after high school. Within a few years, Shama had opened a small factory and three sales channels (1. retail store, 2. sales via department stores, 3. exports), and successfully sold the business at age 20. Shama’s passion for travel and technology led her to brand the first frequent flyer credit card in Pakistan, spearhead mobile and interactive voice responder (IVR) applications in early 2000’s in South Asia (pre-US market adoption) and take pilot training aspiring to become the second female pilot in Pakistan.
An alum of Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, Shama’s entrepreneurial vision and success has been featured in Forbes, Crains, Huffington Post, Nasdaq Entrepreneurs. Michigan University’s Dividend Magazine, Columbia University’s Core Magazine, Wework’s Creator Magazine, and several other publications. Shama holds two MBA degrees: one in Finance & Strategy from Michigan Ross School, and second in International Business from IBA, Karachi (the oldest business school outside North America to award an MBA degree formed in affiliation with Wharton, University of Pennsylvania). Shama lives in Gramercy in New York City and enjoys travel, skiing, yoga and spending time with her family (esp her niece and nephews).
