Rachel J. Smith has assisted artists with applications for multiple festivals and showcases on the artists' behalf as well as helping with social media improvements and marketing ideas. Rachel brings a great knowledge of the local music scene as she has worked in the industry on and off since graduating from NSCC's Music Business program in 2018. Since the beginning of her career, she has worked with Music Nova Scotia as the Marketing and Sponsorship Liaison for Nova Scotia Music Week 2023, the East Coast Music Awards as the Production Assistant for multiple years, the Waverley Community Association, assisting with the Waverley Summer Concert Series since 2023, as well as being involved with operations at 2037 Gottingen (The Marquee Ballroom and The Seahorse Tavern). Now, as she builds Burnt Crown, she is guiding artists through the complex channels of the music industry, assisting in any way possible, and looking for opportunities everywhere.
