Bio

A lifelong arts lover and advocate with over 15 years of experience in arts research, programming and presenting, Sarah Rucker founded Full Gallop in 2015. Full Gallop strives to bridge cultures and connect communities through creative collaborations and programs. She has a personal mission to help increase equity in the arts, especially in Austin, where she started the Inclusion Riders Initiative ATX in 2018. She was a founding board member of Austin Emerging Arts Leaders from 2012-2019. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of Texas’ Fine Arts Program with a Business Certificate from UT’s McCombs School of Business.

Notable events she’s worked on include Neighbors in Need Hurricane Katrina Benefit at Frank Erwin Center (with Clifford Antone in 2005,) Barbara Lynn & Friends at Library of Congress and Kennedy Center (with Texas Folklife and American Folklife Center in 2009,) HAAM’s 10th Anniversary (2015,) City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division 30 Year Celebration (with Wyatt Brand, 2016,) Opening Reception for Americans for the Arts Annual Convention (with AFTA and City of Austin, 2016,) Barbara Lynn’s National Heritage Award Presentation (with NEA and NCTA, 2018) and Cherrywood Art Fair (2017-2019.)
