With her debut album #Angelicas released on February 22nd, talented Argentinean singer-songwriter SOPHIA ANGELICA has created a fun, energy-infused, emotional roller coaster of an album that takes on heavy topics about heartbreak and self- esteem, that is sure to connect with Sophia’s authentic Gen-Z and millennial audiences. At just 24, Sophia is a unique young artist who is not only an extremely talented singer, but also a gifted bilingual songwriter and storyteller capable of writing in English and Spanish. With many TV and festival appearances, she set out on her entertainment career at 6 years of age and made her debut on “Good Day New York” on FOX and “Dora the Explorer” on Nickelodeon. Having performed around the world and as a global activist, she works closely with the United Nations, and has traveled internationally to combat bullying and discrimination. In March of 2018, Sophia, as lead speaker and performer, went on a University Human Rights Tour in Taiwan. Soon after, she received the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors “Breakthrough Artist Award,” and the prestigious “Presidential Volunteer Service Award” in Washington, D.C. for her work with human rights. She’s also received letters of recognition from New York State Governor's Office, the State Legislature of New Jersey, and many other political leaders. On a more personal note, Sophia wrote the song, “My Brother, Big Brother,” and created a national music awareness campaign for her brother who, at the time, needed a life-saving kidney transplant. During the pandemic, Sophia collaborated with acclaimed producer, Juan Cristiani, on a healing song called, “Survivors”, with 29 musicians from around the world. Having just returned from being invited by the Gates Foundation to perform in Thailand, Sophia continues to perform in well- known venues across the tri-state area, such as Birdland Jazz Club, Duffy Square - Times Square, The Stone Pony, Yankee Stadium and Meadowlands RaceTrack. Most recently, Sophia won a Marvin Hamlisch International Music Award under the category of Contemporary Pop, presented by the legendary Clive Davis.
