About LO-BALL

Hi! We’re LO-BALL ;)

An LA / Long Beach based all-female rock’n’roll girl gang.

We're back, after a bit of a hiatus, ok more than a bit...

We originally formed in 1998 as a bet... We won. Obviously.

That little bet: turned into stages at South by Southwest (twice), Warped Tour (three times), CMJ Music Marathon, and just about every club in Hollywood that ever smelled like beer & bad decisions.

We opened for legends like: The Cult, The Bangles, Missing Persons, The Vandals, & Save Ferris — and yes, we have stories. Sooo many stories.

We also at one point or another:

* Were signed to A&M Records / Interscope Records by Ron Fair & Jimmy Iovine

* Worked w/ top-tier studio architects Michael Beinhorn, Rob Schnapf, John Porter (and more)

* Landed songs in major motion films: Legally Blonde (“Can’t Get Me Down”), & What Lies Beneath(“Too Late”) – the latter of which gave us the pinch me moment of working side by side w/Director Robert Zemeckis (you know the one who did Forrest Gump?)

* Also had songs in indie films: Down n Out with The Dolls (“Rockstar”), & Slaves To The Underground (“Airsick”)

* Were profiled in Vogue Magazine after being photographed at Fashion Week by the late great Bill Cunningham (street photographer extraordinaire)

We survived: lineup flips, touring big, touring small, major label ups, & not so ups, photo shoots, interviews, killer boots, & each other. (bands, am i right?)

One of our videos: (“Uncomplicated”) was directed by Malek Akkad — yes, from the Halloween lineage — and our guitarist JC Brandy was literally impaled by Michael Myers in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.

You might have also: Seen our former singer Pauley P. on NCIS, & our former bass player Ginger playing with Smashing Pumpkins.

So yes: We did some things, & we enjoyed the rock n roll ride, in a good way…

And then after some hits, and not the kind you hear on the radio - we thought, ok it's time.

And that was that: Or so we thought…

Enter the 2020’s:

Three of the OG’s (JC, Lissa, Claudia) linked up for the We Are Radio Noi$e project, and in 2023 dropped “Womathem” on Epitaph Records, and remembered something very important:

“Oh right. This is still in our bones.”

So here we are: 2026 LO-BALL = 3 Gen Xers + 1 Millennial + 1 Gen Z = The Go-Go’s meets The Runaways w/ a shot of Chappell & some major turn-it-up-energy.

Think: Gibson Les Pauls & Flying V / Marshall heads at 11 / Ampeg SVT shakin' / Snare drum that snaps / Pop hooks with a punk bite / Harmonies you didn’t see coming.

With: Lissa Beltri (Pandoras, Boys Named Sue) Lead Guitar, JC Brandy (Lunchbox/RidelHigh) Rhythm and epic song-writing duties, Claudia Monique (JOJ, Halo Friendlies, The Shocker) bashing drums & breaking things, new add-on Nikki Stevens (Fender Play, Earthquaker Pedals) bass duties, & your favorite human's favorite human - Maddy Caddell (singer / songwriter / actor) aka TheYoungMC, on the Mic... we ready.

Let’s roll. x
