German-born, New York-raised singer, songwriter, producer, musician and dancer Cooke Nasty (born Christina Denise Cooke) brings a versatile sweetness that packs a powerful punch. Her church-cultivated singing chops shine through in her airy single “Bounce” and the laid-back track “Rainy”, while her spirited rap flow commands attention on boom-bap-influenced tracks like “For The Record.” Cooke Nasty’s range as an artist has afforded her opportunities to work with notable names such as Moore Kismet and Chuck Sutton (“Ultraviolet”) and William Crooks (“problem!”).
Cookie’s journey began as an organist in her family church at just seven years old, though her passion for music was evident even earlier. Inspired by gospel legends like The Clark Sisters and John P. Kee, as well as hip-hop icons like Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Nicki Minaj, she cultivated her gifts through church performances, daydreaming about melodies, and creating new arrangements. “Everybody just knew I’d be doing this”, she reflects. “Even when I was told I was doing too much, I channeled that energy into my music.”

After graduating from SUNY Fredonia in 2019, Cookie faced a major setback when a car accident affected her neck, breathing, and vocal cords. “Every time I tried to sing or belt, it felt like getting punched in the stomach”, she recalls. Determined to recover and honor her talent, Cookie used the experience to fuel her drive: “God can give and take away, so I decided I’d never hold myself back again.” Cooke Nasty’s music career has skyrocketed in recent years. Her viral hit “BABYGIRL”, produced by Cali Cartier and Chuck Sutton, has amassed over 2,000 user-generated creations (UGCs) and reached 6,500,000+ views across platforms. The track has been celebrated by industry heavyweights, including Lizzo, Sexyy Redd, Iniko, Estelle and Chlothegod. The song’s success led to the release of the BABYGIRL in September 2024, followed by the Remix EP released January 10, 2025, featuring collaborations with Lunice, sober rob, DEFFIE, Chromonicci, Bickle, and more. Currently, Cooke is co-executive producing her debut album alongside Chuck Sutton.

In addition to her solo work, Cookie has toured as a background singer with Macy Gray and Blaque Dynamite and collaborated with multi-Grammy Award winner Maurice Brown.
